Last weekend, I was in my hometown Oita to join my family trip.
The destination was Beppu, the best hot spring city in the universe (which I seriously believe.) It only takes 40mins from our home, so it was really easy. (It wasn’t easy for me to go back to Oita in the early morning on Saturday though. I don’t know what happened but I had ended up staying a night at MANGA cafe in Akihabara the night before the flight, without a single sleep, thanks to the guy next to my room who was snoring like hell…. Well, maybe a “room” isn’t appropriate here, but a partition is better.. Anyway, I was being the most stupid in my life for the last few days before the departure, which I didn’t even get to reserve a seat for this cheap airport bus so that I ended up having to leave that MANGA cafe at 4:30am to line up just to ride on that bus. I hurried, to just find out there was no line there. well, C’est la vie.
Let’s go back to the story of my family trip.
After we enjoyed the hot spring at the hotel, we gathered to play Bingo.
We all had been told to get something valued around 500yen, which I found was REALLY difficult, especially here in Tokyo. But I think I did a good job, choosing a kitchen towel with embroidered rooster on it. So I was really puzzled when I saw my cousin who had my present had not-really-happy face on her.
My grandpa was beaming with Star Wars chocolate pack. He is really cute. My grandma, on the other hand, was frowning all the time. But it’s good, that’s her.
The bottom line: You should see your family once in a while, it’s good.
